Tamil Movie Maayavi is the story of a kidnap drama. Surya is a tourist guide in Mahabalipuram who indulges in petty crimes. He graduates to big-ticket heists beginning with Jyothika’s bungalow.

The actress plays herself and therefore the police swoop in on the thieves.

They however connive to kidnap her. What follows is a trite affair with a clichéd climax.
