Filmmaker Jeeva Shankar’s definition of Yaman: Cinematographer Jeeva Shankar made his debut directorial with the film ‘Naan’, a psychological thriller that marked the debut of Vijay Antony as an actor.

The film was a surprise and sleeper hit that managed to bring up the outstanding reports and collections in box office.

Aftermath, Jeeva Shankar took some time and crafted a second outing titled ‘Amara Kaaviyam’, which was based on some real life incident that shook entire neighborhood.

Now he has teamed up with Vijay Antony again for his second outing titled ‘Yaman’. The film is hitting screens next Thursday (February 24, 2017) for the occasion of Maha Shivarathri.

Speaking about the film’s line Jeeva Shankar says that the film is about a common man looking out for gaining power and he chooses ‘Politics’ to take it over as the tool.

Jeeva Shankar adds that he initially wrote the film on audiences’ perspective on how they would see politics and then, he rewrote the story from a director’s view.

There are also chances for Vijay Antony and Jeeva Shankar to collaborate for the sequel to ‘Naan’.
