Game Over Movie Review

Taapsee Pannu made her debut in Tamil cinema through the movie ‘Aadukalam”, following which she was seen in few movies. Nearly after 3 years of long hiatus, she is now making her comeback through the movie ‘Game Over’. The film is directed by Ashwin Saravanan, who earlier made his directorial debut through the movie ‘Maya’. This film is simultaneously released in Tamil and Telugu with dubbing in Hindi.

The film is a psychological thriller, where Taapsee is a video game developer, who has been sexually assaulted. She remains alienated from everyone inside a house and is on wheelchair for the suicide attempt she made. Apparently, now a serial killer is left loose and has entered her house.

Yes, he has killed her and her helper (Vinodhini) too. But there’s a twist in the tale, where Taapsee is almost like a character/ player in the video game and has two more chances to escape. Will she be able to change the fate saving herself and others around her? Taapsee has done a neat job and her performance is so much commendable. The biggest plus of the film is the running length of 100 minutes and it has been packaged with intriguing narration.

On the whole, Game Over is a good experience and is worth watching for the tickets you have bought.
