Kathanayagan Movie Review

Kathanayagan

Kathanayagan Movie Review: Witnessing the grand success as a producer and actor through the film ‘Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran’, actor Vishnu Vishal repeats the same trend through the movie ‘Kathanayagan’. The film features Catherine Tresa in female lead role and has an ensemble star-cast of Aruldoss, Anand Raj, Soori and Vijay Sethupathi appears in a cameo role as well.

The basic plot of this film is too simple and is like an onion skin. Vishnu Vishal plays a revenue officer, who doesn’t like to lock horns with anyone. He is always miles away from spot where a problematic situation arises. Knowing his inherent nature, his girlfriend (Catherine Tresa) father imposes a condition that he would be marrying his daughter to someone, who is really brave. This leads him into turmoil situations and how he tackles them forms crux of the story.

First and foremost, this film is for audiences, who aren’t bothered about the rational quotients of a film, but are here to just sit back and relax the show. But it is not completely engaging as the previous outing of Vishnu Vishal-Soori titled VVV.

Catherine Tresa looks beautiful, but her role is misfit. The cameo appearance by Vijay Sethupathi is worthy of appreciations. Anand Raj comedy portions are superb and hilarious.

Neruppu Da Movie Review

NeruppuDa

Neruppu Da Movie Review: Vikram Prabhu’s latest outing Neruppu Da is produced by the actor himself. The film is directed by Ashok Kumar and features Nikki Galrani in lead role. The movie features Vikram Prabhu as an aspiring fire brigade, who wants to be in that profession. So happens to be the motivational life of his close friends. But during an unexpected twist of turn, these young people have to accidentally bounce upon a goon, which leads to the latter’s death. Now his close friend (Madhusudhanan) decides to take revenge and what unfolds next is a series of drama followed by a twist by the end.

Vikram Prabhu has to go through a crash course of choosing best scripts. He has a good screen presence, but then the stories he is taking up are really mediocre. The actor is defined as a fire brigade, but nothing as such is seen him involved in missions. Nikki Galrani appears for namesake.

Naan Kadavul Rajendran does nothing other than trying a routine hilarious portions, but that doesn’t work out in many places.

Background score by Sean Roldan can be appreciated and cinematography by RD Rajashekar is top-notch.

On the while, Neruppu Da is an average film that could have made a big time with proper gripping narration.

Vishal reveals 3 special attractions of Thupparivalan

Thupparivalan

Vishal reveals 3 special attractions of Thupparivalan: Actor Vishal wasn’t seen acting in any movies in the past one year after Marudhu. The actor is now having his next release ‘Thupparivalan’ hitting screens on September 14. The film is touted to be a mystery thriller, where Vishal will be seen playing the role of a detective and Prasanna as his close aide. The film is directed by Mysskin and is produced by Vishal Film Factory with Arrol Corelli composing music. Vinay Rai, Andrea Jeremiah, Anu Emmanuel and K Bhagyaraj have been appearing in important roles.

Speaking about 3 special things in the film, Vishal affirms that this is the first ever time, he would be speaking less dialogues. Usually, his movies would be featuring him in long and loud punch dialogues. But this is something really out of box thinking by Mysskin.

The actor also admits that usually Mysskin would be showing the close up shots of hands and legs. But here there will be more prominence for the body language and mannerisms of every characterization.

The third highlighting trait is that it happens to be the first ever stylish movie made in the career of Vishal till the date.

Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Nani and Jyotika in Maniratnam film

Jothiga

Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Nani and Jyotika in Maniratnam film: Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be now making his big time through Maniratnam’s untitled film. It was earlier mentioned that Vijay Sethupathi was supposed to give call sheet for nearly a year for this film. But then, it is now learnt that there is no truth in it and he would be completing his portions in a short span of time.

It looks like Maniratnam has decided to merchandize the film in all territories and henceforth has been bringing top stars from all industries. If what we hear from the close sources is believed to be true, Vijay Sethupathi will be sharing the screen space with Jyotika, Fahadh Faasil and Nani in lead roles.

As usual AR Rahman is composing music for this film and Santhosh Sivan is handling cinematography.

So with such a huge star-cast, one can expect that it would be a multi-lingual film to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. On the other end, Vijay Sethupathi is going to make his debut in Telugu industry through the film with Chiranjeevi in lead role.

We can expect the official confirmation involving this project in a short span of time.
