SJ Suryah-Selvaraghavan ‘Nenjam Marapathillai’ release date confirmed: Aftermath the box office disaster of Irandam Ulagam, Selvaraghavan refrained from making films and was busy being an introvert for a while. He had made his comeback writing script for his wife Geethanjali directorial debut ‘Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam’.

Now he is all geared up for his directorial comeback with ‘Nenjam Marapathillai’. Although the shooting and post-production works of this film was completed before a long time, it wasn’t possible to release it due to some financial issues. Finally, it has been confirmed through the team that the movie will be hitting screens on June 2, 2017…

The film was viewed by Censor Board Film Certification members and has been passed with UA certificate. Touted to be a psychological horror thriller, the film stars SJ Suryah, Regina Cassandra and Nandita Swetha in lead roles with Yuvan Shankar Raja composing music.

Both Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja are making their comeback together after a long time, nearly after 10 years. The film is produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon and Escape Artists Madan is releasing it. Aravind Krishna has handled cinematography for this film and it is definitely going to be a stellar performance of SJ Suryah.

Raghava Lawrence-Baahubali writer team up for 18th-19th century tale: Choreographer-actor-turned filmmaker Raghava Lawrence has been striding with successful colours as an actor.

He had couple of releases – Motta Siva Ketta Siva following his recent release Shivalinga has performed well in box office. The actor is currently writing script for his directorial next that will be a supernatural thriller tentatively titled ‘Naga’.

It was also reported that P Vasu might be directing Raghava Lawrence in ‘Chandramukhi 2’ to be produced by Sivaji Productions. During this interim, the actor is likely to play the lead role in a commercial period action thriller that is set against two different time backdrops of 18th and 19th Century.

The film will be directed by Mahadev, assistant to SS Rajamouli, who worked with him in couple of ‘Baahubali’ installments. SS Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad is penning script to this film, who also suggested that Raghava Lawrence would be the apt person to play the lead role.


If what we hear from the close sources is believed to be true, Kajal Aggarwal has been approached to play the female lead role and she is yet to give nod to this film. It looks like Raghava Lawrence will start working on his supernatural thriller from the month of September.
